Two survivors of Ovarian cancer share an embrace at the Walk to Break the Silence against Ovarian Cancer on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011. The survivors of ovarian cancer were invited to a special breakfast held before the walk began.



The Esolodo family gather to cut the ribbon signifying the start of the Walk to Break the Silence. The walk, held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, was hosted by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and attracted hundreds of walkers from all over Pittsburgh.



Heather Gray, a freelance sign language interpreter, helps unpack Ovarian Cancer bracelets at the Walk to Break the Silence Against Ovarian Cancer on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011. This was Gray’s first year volunteering with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, but she plans to volunteer at more events in the future.
