Two survivors of Ovarian cancer share an embrace at the Walk to Break the Silence against Ovarian Cancer on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011. The survivors of ovarian cancer were invited to a special breakfast held before the walk began.



The Esolodo family gather to cut the ribbon signifying the start of the Walk to Break the Silence. The walk, held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, was hosted by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, and attracted hundreds of walkers from all over Pittsburgh.

This was Gray’s first year volunteering with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, but she plans to volunteer at more events in the future.

9/11 Shanksville


Families gather in Shanksville, Pa on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 for the dedication of the Flight 93 memorial. Many were eager to pay their respects to the victims of 9/11


The dedication of the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Pa on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 attracted a large crowd if people wishing to pay their respects. Many held American flags and donned patriotic apparel to show their support of America and of the victims of 9/11.
